Progress in microsurgery, sophisticated new measurement techniques, and improvements in IOL calculation algorithms offer excellent chances to restore good vision in today’s cataract patients.
An A-scan ultrasound measures the eye to determine the accurate power of a lens implant before cataract surgery.
To aid the eye surgeon get accurate measurements of the lens power to be implanted, we use the Zeiss IOL Master. It is engineered as a non-contact optical device that measures the power of the IOL to be implanted. Because the IOL Master is non-contact (nothing touches the eye itself), there is no need for anesthesia and there is no potential for spread of contamination.
With the use of such accurate diagnostic and measurement tools, combined with very small incisions and surgeon precision, we have not only delivered stable and exceptional results but also have made our patients extremely satisfied with their outcomes at Shroff Eye.
